| Hey, how's it going?
True story. Allied WW2 general receives an (obviously ridiculous) request for total surrender by a German general he was fighting during the Battle of the Bulge. Bewildered, the Allied general dispatches back a reply: "NUTS!"
I have the utmost admiration for crass candor. It's being real and being real rocks. Unfortunately, diplomatic PC'ness is rated even more highly and apparently detrimental to one's career well-being. Which sucks, cos I get stupid ass e-mails at work sometimes, and for the sake of being true to myself and everyone I deal with, all I want to do is junk it. 'Cos not being able to write back "seriously, are you nuts?" would just lead me to paint a false picture of my temperament and opinion of the original e-mail. Which means I wouldn't be real, hence not rockin'.
It's my turn in the rotation to write the fund manager's newsletter's weekly review of corporate news affecting Malaysian listed companies. I'd like to use this space to congratulate JT International (formerly known as RJ Reynolds) for being so good at selling more cigarettes, something they obviously did more of recently than a year ago, in the process of posting up record quarterly numbers. Having to be PC though would have me junk an ingenious title for the news blurb in the newsletter - I was thinking "JT International - Sells more cigarettes" - in favor of "JT International - Surge in quarterly profits". Not rockin' man.
Hey, gotta go.
p/s: the ww2 story is true, it was in hbo's band of brothers. hbo rocks hence it's real.

| Work's insane, especially the data entry and clerical bits. Been fucking up so much I think I'm turning dyslexic. Which can't be true, obviously, cos I just speeled dyslexic correct!
Just so that I can read this @ work tomorrow and the day after and whenever I really want to from anywhere...

| If houdini was still alive, I'm feeling like him right this moment. It's a friday night and I was drunk as fuck, driving home after a night out, when I came upon a police roadblock on the fed highway in front of the istana (royal palace). i was pretty sure they were looking out for drunks cos seriously, what else would the cops be doing on a friday night. Anyway I drove into an alley which miraculously appeared somewhere before the block, parked my car and took a nap for an hour or so. God loves me I tell you. But I couldn't really sleep, seriously, how could you in a dark alley in kuala lumpur? While trying to while away the time I spent a couple of brain cycles thinking of this new show i'm planning to premiere on youtube. It's gonna be hosted by the funniest dude in malaysia interviewing the hottest babes around. The more I thought about it the more I'm convinced it's gonna be legendary. Seriously. I'll keep you posted. ciao.
